HYROX Nantes 2026: Complete Race Guide (Spring 2026)

HYROX Nantes 2026 will be held at the Parc des Expositions de la Beaujoire for its spring 2026 edition. Like all HYROX events, the format is identical: 8 km of running alternated with 8 functional stations (sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmer's carry, sandbag lunges, wall balls). What changes here: the local climate, logistics, and atmosphere.

The Venue: Parc des Expositions de la Beaujoire

The Parc des Expositions de la Beaujoire is one of Nantes' premier exhibition and event venues. For HYROX, the floor is covered with official HYROX carpet (compatible with flat shoes), the ambient temperature is regulated, there are separate changing rooms for men and women, on-site physiotherapists, visitor parking, and a recovery area with free massages for finishers.

Access and Transport

To reach the Parc des Expositions de la Beaujoire: take tram 1 to Beaujoire stop / Nantes train station is 25 minutes away by tram. If you are coming by Eurostar or TGV, allow 30 minutes of logistical margin for check-in. If you are coming by plane, the nearest airport is cited above.

Course, Weather, and Spring 2026 Conditions

Moderate, temperate edition, ideal for a personal record (PR). The race takes place indoors, so the weather does not directly impact performance — however, it affects the heat inside the venue (little air conditioning in summer editions) and hydration strategy. Plan for 1L of water + electrolytes in addition to what you would drink in your home gym.

Accommodation in Nantes

To optimize pre-race sleep, stay within a maximum of 15 minutes from the venue. Avoid large city center hotels if the race starts early (7:30-8:00 AM for the first waves). Opt for an Airbnb or a chain hotel near the venue. Breakfast before 6 AM: look for a hotel with early breakfast included OR prepare your own breakfast in the room.

The Local Atmosphere

A strong local trail-running scene, many athletes start HYROX through trail running. On the day before, many finishers gather at the check-in for a briefing, to pick up their bib + finisher T-shirt (always provided in HYROX). Be there at check-in opening to avoid last-minute queues.

Specific Preparation for this Edition

Beyond the standard HYROX program (8-12 weeks of preparation), adjust these variables for Nantes:

  • Thermal acclimatization: if it's a hot edition (Marseille, Madrid, Lisbon), train 2x/week in a warm room (closed changing room) to accustom your body
  • Pacing strategy: adapt the pace to the venue conditions (carpet vs hard floor, ceiling height for wall balls)
  • Doubles team cohesion (if format chosen): at least 2 Doubles sessions to practice relay transitions

Categories Available in Nantes

As everywhere, Open (lighter weights), Pro (full weights), Doubles (2 alternating athletes), and Relay (4 athletes) categories are offered. Check hyrox.com/france for available spots: popular editions fill up within 2-4 weeks after registration opens.
