HYROX Copenhagen 2026: Complete Race Guide (Autumn 2026)
HYROX Copenhagen 2026 takes place at the Bella Center for its autumn 2026 edition. Like every HYROX race, the format is identical: 8 km of running alternated with 8 functional stations (sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, wall balls). What changes here: the local climate, the logistics, and the atmosphere.
The Venue: Bella Center
The Bella Center is one of Copenhagen's leading exhibition and event venues. For HYROX, the floor is covered with the official HYROX carpet surface (flat-shoe compatible), regulated ambient temperature, separate male/female changing rooms, on-site physios, visitor parking, and a recovery zone with free massage for finishers.
Getting There
To reach the Bella Center: Metro stop Bella Center / Copenhagen Airport CPH 10 minutes by metro. If you are travelling by train, allow 30 minutes of logistical buffer for check-in. If you are flying, the nearest airport is listed above.
Course, Weather and Autumn 2026 Conditions
Scandinavian design edition — ultra-clean venue. The race takes place indoors so weather has no direct impact on performance — however, it affects the temperature inside the venue (limited air conditioning on summer editions) and your hydration strategy. Plan for 1L of water plus electrolytes on top of what you would drink in a home gym session.
Accommodation in Copenhagen
To optimise pre-race sleep, stay within 15 minutes of the venue. Avoid large city-centre hotels if your wave starts early (7:30–8:00 for the first waves). Prioritise an Airbnb or chain hotel close to the venue. Breakfast before 6am: look for a hotel with early breakfast included, or prepare your own in the room.
The Local Atmosphere
Small but highly connected Danish community. The day before, many finishers gather at check-in for the briefing and to collect their bib and finisher t-shirt (always included with HYROX). Arrive as soon as check-in opens to avoid last-minute queues.
Race-Specific Preparation
Beyond the standard HYROX programme (8–12 weeks of preparation), adjust these variables for Copenhagen:
- Heat acclimatisation: for warm editions, train 2x/week in a heated room (closed changing room) to adapt your body
- Pacing strategy: adjust your rhythm to the venue conditions (carpet vs hard floor, ceiling height for wall balls)
- Doubles team cohesion (if chosen format): minimum 2 Doubles sessions to work on handover transitions
Available Categories in Copenhagen
As everywhere, Open (reduced loads), Pro (full loads), Doubles (2 athletes alternating), and Relay (4 athletes) categories are available. Check hyrox.com/denmark for available spots — popular editions sell out within 2–4 weeks of registration opening.
